Story

FIT 2 FALL 4 THE FALLEN

Alabaré is the largest provider of dedicated accommodation for former serving Military Personnel outside of London area, they have 124 beds in homes varying in size from 3 to 8 bedrooms across southern England and Wales.

Every one of our homes focuses on enabling all Veterans of all ages and situation in life, to overcome issues that have led them to become homeless.
Many have been impacted by their time in the Military and need a wide range of support to enable them to transition from the Army, Royal Navy or RAF into their new civilian life.
The support we can give to our veterans is limitless if we have the funds available to assist them in any way they wish.
This includes helping them, side by side to overcome issues around mental ill-health, transferable skills from Military to Civilian Life including employment, secure housing and learn to integrate into a society where they feel valued and excepted.  Our approach includes building confidence, teaching life skills such as budgeting and giving a sense of value and purpose to our Veterans who feel they have lost this.
So looking back after 100 years when World War 1 ended I see what was formed from such a loss, things like medicine, Royal Air Force, political agreements and much much more but to have all this in the present day we must not forget the ultimate sacrifice that was made for our future and those that have served and or are still serving everyday and it is for them that I am truly thankful for and there selflessness commitment and brotherly love.
I feel we also overlook the mothers and sisters that joined the forces in 1914-1918 and how they also kept homes and joined the military divisions and shaped the way to the equality we see in the present day in the armed forces.
So I am not asking you to sponsor me I am asking you to Honor them and ask you how much would you give them if you met them today?
