Hft is a national charity that supports people with a learning disability. These are some of the most vulnerable people in society but with creative and resourceful support, they can achieve their goals and live the lives they choose. As well as delivering outstanding services, Hft is always looking for new ways to put the people we support in control of their lives, such as the pioneering application of personalised technology or development of friendship networks.
Hft’s Family Carers Support Service provides information and advice for any family or carer who is struggling with the huge challenge of supporting someone with a learning disability – be it understanding the Mental Capacity Act, navigating the maze of the benefits system or just having someone to talk to who understands what you are going through. This service is entirely funded through voluntary donations and all the money you give will go towards supporting it........so dig deep!
