I will be running to raise money for a 9 year old girl called Ellie-Louise who has one wish to walk. Ellie-Louise was born&nbsp;at 29 weeks and weighed just 2ib 12oz. As she was getting bigger she could not do the things other children could and her parents took her to the doctors. She was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 13.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">One of the symtoms she has is her muscles are very tight and painful. She cannot walk by herself and has to use a wheelchair. she has a walking frame that she can use for a little while but her legs get very painful and tired,she can not&nbsp;even wiggle her toes</span></p> <p style="line-height: 13.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">A few months ago her parents were made aware of procedure called "Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy" (sdr) that involves surgery on her spinal cord. This operation is&nbsp;in America and is&nbsp;carried out by Dr Parks a top neurosurgeon at St Louis Childrens Hospital Missouri, he has carried out over 2000 operations with 100% success rate.&nbsp;This operation cost about &pound;45000. This operation will give her the chance to have a near normal life without the pain&nbsp;and tightness in her legs&nbsp;and hopefully let her have the chance to take her first steps.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 13.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Ellie-Louise would love to be able to wear pretty girly shoes, wiggle her toes&nbsp;and ride a horse but at the moment she can't do any of these things.
