I shall taking to the skies (and then jumping out of a plane!) as part of the inaugural Rainy Day Trust Parachute Jump.
Yes, you read it right, I will be jumping out of a plane at a height of 13,500 ft and doing a 45-second freefall at 120mph before the parachute is deployed.
And no, before you ask, I am not taking offers to jump without the parachute!
There are 17 volunteers taking part, and all of us will be doing a tandem jump at the British Army Parachute Association training centre at Netheravon, Wiltshire, on 25th September, right in the middle of the MOD's training facilities on Salisbury Plain.
The purpose of the jump is to raise much-needed funds for the industry charity the Rainy Day Trust, and each member of the team has undertaken to raise £1,000 - but we need your help to get there!
I may be scared, I may be mad, but if you help me get to my GBP1,000 target I will definitely be jumping!
Dig deep!
Massive thanks in advance,
