In July 2011 31 Squadron will deploy to Afghanistan in support of our ground troops.  As a Squadron we would like to do more for them.  In order to achieve this we will be running, cycling, rowing, cross-training and crawling a distance of 31000 miles, aiming to raise 31,000 pounds for Help for Heroes and tickets for troops.co.uk.  This seems a crazy proposition for a bunch of a hundred or so guys n girls at any time, but in 45 degrees plus is going to be a huge challenge.  That said, it'll be nothing compared with some of the 'challenges' UK Forces will be meeting out there this summer.  Your support in whatever form is massively appreciated by all at the Goldstars!
