Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.

Each year, I try to do one exciting event to raise money for charity. In 2018 it was a firewalk, in 2019 a skydive and this year a trekking challenge. On 8th August, I will be walking up Mount Snowdon, at first light, and I'm training hard to get into shape!

I am really pleased (and grateful) to be joined by my son Damian and together we are raising money for Accuro, a charity we care passionately about. Accuro supports people with disabilities in West Essex and provides a range of services that enable social, leisure and learning opportunities for children, young people and adults. Their term time clubs and holiday short breaks also provide vital respite for parents and carers.

This local, vibrant, charity provides essential services that aid mental wellbeing, create communities and ensure a genuine sense of belonging. It costs over £400,000 per year to run and, as with all charities, the current times are especially challenging. Please help us to ensure the services that Accuro provides remain available to our community.

Whatever you can contribute to help us reach our joint target (and possibly beyond) will be much appreciated.
