"Empowering people to transform nations"

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Let me share some dreams that have become realities.

A new wind of hope is blowing through the ancient killing fields of Rwanda. Young girls are leaving the vulnerability of the streets to learn to fashion clothes while boys are expressing their creative talents in making wonderful greetings cards.

The neglected Pygmy people of Central African Republic are finding new freedom and standing in society. Over the years a dispensary and a small school has empowered many of them to hope and dream of a better future.

I would love to help these causes through raising money for the  "Emerging Mission Movement" (EMM) fund of World Horizons.

I'll do this by "Running for Rwanda" and "Puffing for Pygmies" in the New York marathon on the 6th November. I would also like to be able to encourage new initiatives in Indonesia, Ethiopia and Korea.

A little cash goes a very long way in these places. £20 can pay the annual social security costs of a widow in Rwanda. £10 will pay school fees for her children. £500 will keep the sowing and greeting cards units opportunities to sponsor 10 new students and develop their work.

£500 will enable the ongoing training of Central African students who are committed to serve and bring transformation the the Pygmy peoples through their skills. £10 will buy an unforgettable Christmas present for several Pygmy children.

At 53, I will also fulfil a lifelong dream of participating in the NYC marathon. The training starts now! Next year marks my 30 years of missionary service with World Horizons. I see running this marathon as part of that birthday celebration and a statement that the best is still to come. Please join me in developing these dreams by giving and sharing the vision with your friends.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to "World Horizons" and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So thanks so much for your support and let's empower people together.

All the best

Rob
