Story

It is now two years since my Brother (David) and I undertook our last endurance challenge together (Ironman Switzerland) so we felt it was time to put ourselves to the test once again. It has also been long enough to forget the pain and agony of that last event, although my brother is still smarting from his defeat and was keen on having an opportunity to exact revenge. This cocktail of sibling rivalry, short memories and no small amount of lunacy has lead us to enter another Ironman-distance triathlon. On Sunday 10th July we will be swimming 3.8km, riding 180km and running a marathon in the "Challenge Roth" event in Roth (near Nuremberg), Germany. Since it was proving doubtful that defending my record against my brother would be enough motivation to see me through this ordeal I have sought an additional reason. I have found one in raising money for the charity "Ickle Pickles". Ickle Pickles is a charity which raises money for neonatal units across the UK. They support the most amazing work that the neonatal units do by purchasing equipment and supporting parents. Without the invaluable help of a few neonatal units and their staff we would not have our two little people with us today and so supporting these facilities is very close to our hearts.

We thank you so much for any donation you can give.

x Rob and Fi

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
