Dear Friends, Apologies for asking for money to support my efforts, but it's the only time that I do, it’s for a great cause and you get the satisfaction of knowing how much I'm going to suffer….

 

Also, many of you know my dear wife Jackie has not been at all well much of this year, with a lot of serious surgery undertaken (but fortunately we got lucky and she is well on the road to recovery), and this is very much a double effort with her in mind too, so please dig deep for her if not for me  :o)

 

This time we are doing nearly 400 miles, into a headwind the whole way, from St Malo to Lille. It is in September so it will be raining yet again..! I am also planning to stop off at the Somme war memorials en-route too, and spend a bit of time there (thinking and reflecting, but mostly no doubt recovering...).
