Baxters Loch Ness Marathon 2013 · 29 September 2013 ·

We understand that navigating the complexities of limb loss and limb difference can be completely overwhelming. We provide excellent, FREE, accessible information and advice to empower all amputees and those with limb difference, and families and friends, to lead independent and fulfilled lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am a student of Prosthetics and Orthotics at Strathclyde University, Glasgow. After working with amputees to manage their disability and provide a prosthetic device, It has become clear how much more suport is needed after such a life changing event as the loss of  limb.

I am running in the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon in order to thank the fantastic volunteers who help in the education of myself and my peers at the National Centre for Prosthetic and Orthotics, and to help the Limbless Association with the fantastic work they do with amputees, both new and old.
