At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Together with hundreds of my colleagues at HSBC UK, I am taking part in Hike It or Bike It to help raise money for Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer Scotland.

The funds raised will help the 850,000 people affected by dementia in the UK get the support they need, and by donating you are contributing to this worthy cause.

Over the course of ten days in May my colleagues and I will take part in a series of hikes and bike rides across the UK. I will be cycling 85 miles from London to Cambridge on May 21st.

Although I am a keen cyclist, this will be my longest ride to date. I'll be relying on plenty of gel packs, bananas and an extra-large tub of Chamois Butt-r (don't ask!) to get me there.

Wish me luck and thank you for your support!
