Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Drinking Pimm's in the summer sun at Dorney, watching National Schools and the LEH J16 squad with my daughter row by, it seemed like a simple and easy thing to fill in the form thrust in front of me and signup for a parent charity squad. It turns out to be not so simple when you see the distance of 85 miles involved, which amounts to 2 days of continuous rowing from dawn to dusk, and not so easy when you start the evening technique training and realise that the 1 term of rowing at university 37 years ago doesn't really count.
Not being a quitter I shall keep the faith in the boat house coaches and my ageing body and along with the rest of the squad endeavor to raise enough to pay for a care nurse for an entire year for our local charity Shooting Star Chase, which provides invaluable hospice care for babies and children with life-limiting conditions.
Not long left now with still a lot more to learn and pain to endure !!
