65 years ago this year, Slazenger sports club was opened. To celebrate the start of the season, we are running a "sportathon"; a 12 hour hockey game, on Saturday 12th of September with celebrations after, all raising money for Cancer Research. A lot of our members have been affected one way or another by this terrible disease and this this is our opportunity to help beat it. The club has a total target of £15,000 to raise collectively.

I will be playing and umpiring part of the 12 hour match.
