Dear Friends,
At the end of June I'll be riding from London to Paris, a journey of 520kms in 3 days. The event is marketed as "The Professional Event for Amateurs", attracting riders such as Beijing Olympic cycling gold medalist, Rebecca Romero, rugby legend, Will Carling and F1 driver, Nigel Mansel....so I expect the competition to be tough but also loads of fun. Check out the website www.londres-paris.com for more information, photos and videos.
My training is going well and aside from a sore butt, I hope to come away with a hug sense of achievement and to raise some dosh for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. I'm sick of reading media reports about kids being neglected and abused. I know I can't change the world but I can dam well try to make it just a little bit better, in this case by raising some money to help the NSPCC who work tirelessly to make a difference to children's lives in the UK and more recently Haiti. To find out more information on the NSPCC, go to their website at www.nspcc.org.uk
Thanks for your generosity and support. As they say, every little bit helps....Paris, here I come!
Cheers,
Rob
