<p style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;"><span style="font-size: small;">Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</span></span></p>
<p style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;"><span style="font-size: small;">This is my lovely dog Spartacus.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>She’s my best friend, and probably the fittest dog I know because she does all my training runs with me when I’m at home – she absolutely loves it!</span></span></p>
<p style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;"><span style="font-size: small;">In Febuary, after being off colour for a few days, she suddenly and unexpectedly collapsed, and I rushed her as a matter of emergency to the veterinary surgery.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>She was diagnosed with severe anaemia, which is much more serious in dogs than it is in humans, and it has different causes.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>She was unconscious and near death when we arrived at the surgery, and I don’t know how she made it through the night.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>After being referred to specialists, Anderson and Moore in Winchester, she was given a lifesaving blood transfusion with blood from another dog.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I vurtually went into standby while her life hung from a thread, and it wasn’t until a week later that I was able to bring her home, and start noticing an improvement.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></p>
<p style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;"><span style="font-size: small;">Now, as I write, she is still here, and has regained some of her old mojo – what a star!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>She’s not out of the woods yet, as this problem doesn’t just go away – it needs constant monitoring and medication.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>But she is here and she’s happy, so that’s all that matters.</span></span></p>
<p style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;"><span style="font-size: small;">I’d like you to dig deep to help the charity, Pet Blood Bank.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It’s little known, but as you can see from the description on this page, its goal is to help dogs like Spartacus – my own little gladiator!</span></span></p>
