Story

It is with a mixture of sadness and pride that I will be running the 2014 London Marathon in memory of my friend Lucy Mosley who passed away from cancer on 9 November 2013 at the age of 29.

Rewinding only a few months back to August 2013.  Lucy and I went for a run around Victoria Park in the bright summer sunshine. To both our suprises we completed 11km in just over one hour.  A week later, Lucy announced that she was going to run the London Marathon in 2014, afterall, this would give her a challenge; something to do after her wedding to my best friend Jack in January.

Tragically, Lucy was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer at the beginning of October and after a five week struggle she succumbed to her illness.

Lucy was a beautiful, intelligent and truly inspiring individual and this is my small contribution to keep her memory alive.

This will be my first marathon and prior to starting this endeavour, I think that the longest run I had done was the 11km that I ran with Lucy last year.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  Your support and donations is very much appreciated.
