Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Yorkhill Hospital is a specialist children's hospital in Glasgow (*), who perform lifesaving treatment on children and babies everyday. Without such specialist care many children would face a very different future.

(*Yorkhill treats sick children from all over Scotland and NE England).

Gavin + Ruth proudly announced the birth of their wee girl Erin Rodger on 20th April 2010. Erin has faced some difficult challenges after being born with a rare chromosome deletion (22Q11.2).  This caused congenital heart disease (including 5 separate anomalies/defects) and required open heart surgery at just 6 days old and a throat operation 1 week later.

Thanks to the team of heart and throat surgeons, doctors and nurses Erin is 1 year old. She is progressing very well at home with regular check ups at Yorkhill.

We have decided to raise money for the Yorkhill Childrens Foundation!

Gavin Rodger will climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world @ 5896m in August 2011. He will take the Machame Route and the trek will take 10 days.

Steve Spence will trek across Costa Rica (coast to coast) in November 2011 and this tough expedition will take 12days.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated - these will be donated to the Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Ward 5A (Cardiac Ward) 50:50.

Thanks - Gavin, Ruth, Steve and wee Erin!

So please dig deep and donate now.
