Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks, respectively, in England (Scafell Pike - 978m / 3209ft), Scotland (Ben Nevis - 1344m / 4409ft) and Wales (Snowdon - 1085m / 3560ft).
The difficulty for this particular challenge is that there is a time limit for the mountains to be climbed...36hrs!
It will be very physically and mentally challenging.
This is what your money will go towards:
£5 - can help pay for crayons and creative materials for a child to use in art therapy tro help them express themselves after a meningitis experience.
£15 - can help fun the Meningitis Trust freephone 24hr nurse staffed helpline for 1hr
£20 - can pay for 1000 symptoms cards that may help save a life through the early identification of the symptoms of meningitis
£55 - can fund a session of specialist physiotherapy to help with physical disabilities caused by meningitis
£180 - can pay for one day of our specially trained community support staff to provide much needed help and support to meningitis sufferers and their families in their local communities
£400 - can enable a family to attend the special 'Meningitis Trust Family Day', which provides specialist help and support to sufferers and their families helping them cope and understand the impact the disease has had on their lives
£722 - can pay for 60hrs of sign language classes to enable a parent to communicate more effectively with their child after they have sufffered severe hearing impairment as a result of meningitis
