Story
In 2011 I joined the VISA cyclists in raising money for Unicef by cycling from 324 miles Paris to Geneva on what was one of the most difficult rides I have ever done.
In 2012, I signed up to repeat, however, with a couple of months to go before the ride I came down with pneumonia that kept me off the bike for over 6 months and away from training for 9.
In 2013 I'm back ... and looking to make up for the missed year have signed up to ride from St Malo to Lille (360 miles), but, just to make it a bit more difficult I am riding an additional 80 miles from London to the ferry in Portsmouth beforehand.
If that wasnt enough, to make this even more of a challenge & worthy of your donations to Unicef, all this will be preceeded by an Ironman distance race in Henley at the start of the month.
As well as being a difficult personal challenge these events are also dedicated to UNICEF and hence I have taken the step of approaching freinds, family and co-workers for sponsorship and donations.
Before you make a donation, please take a minute to click on the UNICEF links here (what we do) or at the bottom of the page to better understand the work that this important charity do and understand why I feel it is important to raise money for them.
If you would like to help please enter the amount you would like to donate and then click on the "DONATE" link in the "Make a Donation" section on the left.
Donating through this page is simple, quick and secure. It is the most efficient way to give – so every donation goes further – and if you are a UK taxpayer and give Gift Aid consent you will boost your donation.
Thank you for your support.
