Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I need your some of your hard earned cash please!!
My brothers daughter, Sophie, would have been 25 this September, but tragically died just over a year ago in an Epilepsy related accident.
Sophie lived with her family in Saffron Walden until going to study Fine Art at the University for the Creative Arts in Canterbury, where she graduated in 2008.
Sophie's parents set up this Memorial Fund to try and help find a cure for this terrible and unpredictable affliction. My own daughter, Amelia, aged 11 also suffers from Epilepsy so my family also lives with this every day.
There is still a lot to learn about epilepsy and we hope that you will donate to this very worthwhile cause and help us keep Sophies memory alive.
So what am I going to do to justify you giving me some cash??
On Friday 23rd September, myself and 7 other guys will be doing the Reivers Cycle Route from Tynemouth up into Scotland and then back down to the coast at Whitehaven in Cumbria. It's about 170 miles and we will be doing it in 3 days on our mountain bikes.
This will be my 7th cross country cycle trip having done the C2C (twice), Coast & Castles, Hadrians Cycleway, W2W and in May 09 we did this Reivers Cycle way - but due to gale force winds and rain, sleet and just about everything else the British weather could chuck at us, slightly failed on the Saturday leg as we only did half of the days riding - so I have unfinished business here that needs correcting!
So you won't just be sponsoring me to do 170 miles of very tough cycling but you will be sponsoring me for the total of around 1000 miles of hard slog (but enjoyable) cycling over the last few years.
