This year it is 25 years since I first set up my accountancy practice. I thought I should do something to celebrate. I have already completed The Chatsworth Challenge once before but was disappointed with the time it took. This year it seemed to be an ideal time, as it is a walk  or run around the Peak National Park and is 25 miles long. It starts and finishes only a mile from Chatsworth House, contains ascents totalling 3,500 feet and an 11 hour time limit. To see more details go to www.thechatsworthchallengewalk.co.uk/.

When I mentioned the walk to members of my staff, Ian and Catherine both agreed to join in. This prompted Ian's brother Ross and Catherine's husband Paul to join in too. Unfortuately my fellow director Bret Duncan is away on holiday and is unable to take part. He will however be around for the evening of celebrations with clients towards the end of October.
