The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having completed the 2015 Wheels for Change 100km ride I can no longer claim that this is the longest ride I'd have ever done, merely that it was the equal longest.

The work undertaken by the Prince's Trust is essential, I personally believe that education is the basis of social mobility and gives people the tools and opportunity to make the most of their lives.  I feel privileged that the opportunities through school and college have resulted in a decent career and an ability to give back albeit in a small way.

The Prince's Trust supports 13 to 30 year olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion.Around one in five young people in the UK are not in work, education or training. Youth unemployment costs the UK economy £10 million a day in lost productivity, while youth crime costs £1 billion every year. Many of the young people they help are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or have been in trouble with the law.Their programmes give young people the practical and financial support they need to stabilise their lives. Their help develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling young people to move into work, education or training.
