My story

Hi All - One of my CCE friends here in the UK, Kevin Parke, is taking on an amazing challenge: to complete 7 marathons - one in each of our 7 CCE territories (6 in Europe and 1 in Atlanta) - in 7 days.  Kevin will finish his odyssey in London on October 2nd at the Olympic Park for the 2012 Games.  In conjunction with this challenge, Kevin is raising funds for a great UK charity, Kidscape, which is dedicated to protecting children from abuse and bullying.

As some of you know, after I ran my first and only marathon last year, I swore I'd never do another.  However, in a fit of madness a couple of months ago, I committed to run the final marathon with Kevin and to raise funds for Kidscape.  I'd like to ask for your support (moral and financial!) as I run with Kevin for his final 26.2 miles.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast, and totally secure.  And to my friends in the US, JustGiving says they're happy to take your Yankee credit cards -- you'll have to enter the amount in £, so the amount you see on your cc statement will take the exchange rate into account [currently, £100 is worth about $160].
