Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday June 6th this year the Vision Charity have organised a 10,000 ft tandem parachute jump and I have decided to take part to help raise much-needed funds for the Vision projects that continue to improve the lives of blind and visually impaired children.

As a guest at a number of Vision fundraising events over the last few years I have seen first-hand the tireless energy and commitment of the Vision fundraising team and the joy and gratitiude of the children supported by those fundraising efforts and felt it time that I contribute more.

Having said that and being completely honest, the thought of jumping from an otherwise perfectly airworthy plane at 10,000 feet and strapped to the parachute of an almost total stranger fills me with complete anxiety and such a jump is not something I would ever normally voluntarily choose to do, which is why I would like your support.

Of course in the form of a donation - large or small, so please DO make a donation - but also in knowing there are sufficient people I would otherwise be letting down if I wanted to back out of the jump last minute!

And please rest assured, I am covering the cost of the jump myself, so ALL of the money donated here will go straight to the Vision Charity.

If that didn't do it, whilst thinking about what to write to here and about my list of things in life that really do or would scare me, I realised that jumping out of a plane, although high up that list, is still nowhere near as high as losing my gift of sight. How about you?
