Roger Pugh - my father and inspiration.

He is a man which has truly left a footprint on this earth. He was a healthy and fit man, recently retired and enjoying life after 47 and a half years working for the NHS. My dad loved rugby, he was a very patriotic welsh man. He was highly respected both in work as a Chief Biomedical Scientist, Rugby Coach (back in the day), a loving and caring Husband, Father, Dado,  Brother, Uncle and many more. However, life came to stop as my father was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer on the 20th of November 2014 and within six weeks of his diagnosis he passed away on the 1st of January 2015. It has been 6 weeks of emotional turmoil and to watch the deteriorating condition of my once healthy father a month before to his dying days is indescribable. It was cruel, inhumane and no justice to the cancer. I have learnt life is too short and you never know what is around the corner. Never ever did I think I would end 2014 and start 2015 without my dad. He provided myself and others with love, support and wisdom and there is not a day that myself, family and friends do not think of him. 

I would like to raise money to Amser Justin Time which is the Pancreatic Cancer Charity Wales as there needs to be more money to aid funding for research to create a medical breakthrough for pancreatic cancer. The number of terminal cases of pancreatic cancer has scarcely changed in the last 30 years. The pancreatic cancer survival rate has remained below 3%. In the year 2015, this needs to change, we can help fund the medical profession in their investigation and research of pancreatic cancer to help people like my father and others to battle this silent and deadly cancer.
