My story
Dear All,
Two years after running my first marathon, I have decided it is time for another try. I started training in November and have already been able to complete some long distance runs. Hopefully I can keep the pace up and will I be able to improve my previous time.
I am going to run the 2012 Virgin London Marathon and again will do so for a charity. This year I have chosen to run for PhabKids which is a part of Phab (http://www.phab.org.uk/)
Phab’s aim is to promote and encourage people of all abilities to come together on equal terms, to achieve complete inclusion of people with and without physical disabilities in the community. PhabKids is running a range of projects enabling young people with and without disabilities to spend a week together at accessible venues and to be involved in a wide range of activities.
Having a beautiful daughter myself and we expect our second child in a few months, it has made me realise how important it is for children to have the chance to enjoy their time whilst building self-confidence, exploring their horizons, learn new skills and make new friends.
I would like to kindly ask you for any donation for this important cause!
