Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

EGMONT TRUST

The time of year has come again where at Westminster Under School we do the anual sponsored Readathon through the Christmas holidays. The aim is for me to read as many books as i can in the space of the 25 days holidays.

This year i have chosen the Egmont Trust for my donations to go to. I feel the Egmont trust is a fantastic cause as it helps tackle the effects HIV/AIDS has on children and families in six different African countries. There is more than 14.8 million children suffering from the disease and a lot of these children are growing up without any families or only with a older brother or sister to look after them.

There is also the added factors of poverty, malnourishment, ill health and often no schools for the children to attend and get an education.

Small amounts of money can make a big difference here and can go towards providing materials to build houses, seed to grow crops, or simple things like a bar of soap or an oil lamp for those dark nights so the children can read their books before bed time.

Thank you for taking the time to read about the Egmont Trust and if you decide to sponsor me, thank you so much for that too!

Rohan Haarmann
