My story
Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page.
This is my 10,000 mile cycle challenge. It was originally a 4000 mile cycle challenge but things got out of hand........
Rather than just do it and then feel pleased with myself for half an hour, I thought it would be a good idea to try and raise some money for Water Aid as well. I'm sponsoring myself at a penny a mile but any other donations much appreciated.
To get this far, I've done many long weekend rides and Cycle Sportives but most of the mileage has been done on my commute. To complete 10,000 miles before Christmas I need to continue, despite weather, darkness etc, to keep doing extended commutes; up to 50 miles rather than the 13 mile round trip which is the route anyone with any sense would take from my house to work.
So, please help make me feel that cycling in the cold, wet, rain, snow, blizzard, gale etc is worth it by putting in a few bob.
