Story
Many thanks for visiting my online charity appeal page.
As I'm spending the last few months in the 20s (and as I don't really *need* more presents etc), I decided to *do* something useful. Thus, I'm asking my family and friends to support this effort rather than buy me presents for my 29th and 30th birthdays.
Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international medical aid agency with a reputation of not only being the first to arrive in a crisis-hit area, but often, the only organisation to be there at all. The movement was awarded the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize.
Right now the humanitarian disaster in Darfur, Sudan; the epidemics in Angola and Chad; the nutritional emergency in Niger; and the AIDS epidemic in Africa are at the top of MSF's agenda.
Thus, please, please give as much as you can - even the smallest amount can make a great difference. If you are a UK taxpayer the government will add 28% (!!) taxback to your donation, so if you give e.g. £10 the government will add £2.80 to that. If you want to donate but don't trust the internet or don't have a credit/debit card, you can still send me a cheque/cash and i'll donate the money on your behalf (i promise i won't spend it on Versace clothes!!). Thank you very much in advance.
