Many thanks for visiting my online charity appeal page.
As I'm spending the last few months in the 20s (and as I don't really *need* more presents etc), I decided to *do* something useful. Thus, I'm asking my family and friends to support this effort rather than buy me presents for my 29th and 30th birthdays.
25% of the planet's mammals face extinction within the next 25 years (UN stats).
Your money will help WWF to:
- Save threatened species like the elephant, tiger, rhino and mountain gorilla.
- Protect and preserve endangered habitats like the Amazon rainforest and UK coastal waters and wetlands. - Campaign for cleaner oceans to protect both animals and people from pollution and chemical poisoning. - Fight global warming by persuading governments to do more to tackle this serious threat to our future. Thus, please, please give as much as you can - even the smallest amount can make a great difference. If you are a UK taxpayer the government will add 28% (!!) taxback to your donation, so if you give e.g. £10 the government will add £2.80 to that. If you want to donate but don't trust the internet or don't have a credit/debit card, you can still send me a cheque/cash and i'll donate the money on your behalf (i promise i won't spend it on Versace clothes!!).
