Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am climbing Mount Snowdon in July 2019, to raise money to build wells in Africa and Asia.
We have all been blessed and privileged to live where power cuts are not a daily concern, finding clean water is at our fingertips. We wake up in the warmth of our homes with the luxury of cars to take us places we wish to go - living in this bubble disconnects us to the harsh reality of the world !
There is an immense amount of poverty in this world - water is a basic human right yet people still struggle, even die, trying to access this basic human right. While we sit comfortably on our sofas waiting for the doorbell to ring for our takeaway, mothers are losing their babies and babies are losing their mothers.
Ignorance is bliss .
I for one can not sit bliss knowing that this is occurring somewhere in the world and I can do something to help. Please help me do my bit for the sake of humanity !
"Spend (in charity) out of the sustenance that We have bestowed on you before that time when death will come to someone, and he shall say: "O my Lord! If only you would grant me reprieve for a little while, then I would give in charity, and be among the righteous." {63:10}
"Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry And bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh.” (Isaiah 58:7)
