My story

 

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Just a few weeks ago, after a magnificent 5-year battle, our dear friend Lizzie finally succumbed to the dreadful disease Ovarian cancer.  Lizzie was a kind, gentle, funny, loving person and we will miss her dreadfully.  She was an inspiration to us all, and I want to honour her memory in the only way I can think of - by raising funds for Ovacome, who supported her throughout her fight. 

In order to do this, I will be leaving on 2nd October to take on a battle of my own - trekking to Everest Base Camp (no easy task at the best of times, and particularly not at my advanced age!).  If you can't join me on the trek itself, please play  your part by sponsoring me - I shall earn every penny!
