I have done it!

Massive thank to all of you who have supported me and donated money to the wonderfull GOSHCC.  It was a fantastic day and it was great to meet Duncan Goodhew (Olympic gold medallist) again. The weather was perfect and I feel great.

I am celebrating my 50th birthday this year and to mark my half a century I thought it would be fantastic to do something really special - something that would make a difference. So I have decided to participate in the "British Gas SWIMS BRITAIN 2013" in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. This means that I will swim A MILE IN OPEN WATER on Sunday 30th June 2013 at Dorney Lake, Windsor, Berkshire.

It's been a long time since I took part in a challenge for charity but I am really looking forward to doing this and I know that every penny I raise will make a difference to a child's life at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
