My wife Gillian was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2007. She has recently had a story published on the BBC's website http://www.bbc.co.uk/mystory/stories/survival/148680/. If you haven't already, please read her story and if you like it, please click 'I like'. It is a competition after all...
Gillian is trying to raise awareness of MS in Scotland, her story is currently the 'most liked' story in the competition. I am very proud of her and decided that I needed to do something to help raise money for MS research. I've decided to run my first 1/2 ,marathon in 4 weeks time, up until a few weeks ago I hadn't run any further than 3 or 4 miles. 13.1 miles seemed like a long, long way...
With 4 weeks to go I've managed to run 9 miles (I am built more for comfort than speed!!) I hope to run 11 miles tomorrow and 13 miles next weekend.
The 1/2 marathon is the day after our annual Christmas dance... free food and drink...aaargh...
Please help me.
Thanks in advance,
Ronnie
