Story

Dear all,

Now that my leg has all healed up – running is now back in the … well, running. But the stakes have to be upped! That’s why I’ve decided to run the Brighton Marathon – 26 miles - on Sunday 15 April 2012. I’ve never run further than 12 miles before, but 26 must be doable!

I will be competing for the Diana Award, a charity that was set up in honour of Princess Diana to continue her vital work with young people. The charity recognizes incredible and inspiring things that young people have done.

Please access this link for some great examples.

The Diana Award also run anti-bullying campaigns which is another issue that is close to my heart, bullying can have devastating effects on young peoples lives – and thus the work of the charity is very important. For example, the charity support the highly successful ‘playleader’ scheme, which helps solve problems in the playground, bring about conflict resolution and look out for vulnerable children.

Please give generously – and then badger me to sponsor you in the future! ;) I’ll be happy to match your donation if you require sponsorship.

Lots of love,
Rory
