Alrighty, so - here begins my journey.
I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro this August. Yes, Mount Kilimanjaro. And... I have to raise £2500; £1250 goes straight to the charity, and the other £1250 goes towards helping us get there.
So far, my fundraising plans have taken me all over - I have held a Craft Fair selling my sewing, am training for a Half Marathon, planning a 1940's-themed Dance Night, my mom is doing a sponsored Pot-A-Thon (making 100 pots in a day!), I'm hitchhiking to Paris, I rapped at a Charity Cabaret, and so so much more.
What am I raising this money for, I hear you ask? Well, we are climbing for a wonderful little charity called Dig Deep. They are working (very successfully) towards creating effective and sustainable water sources in villages throughout Africa that otherwise have none. And they are working closely with these communities to build an environment of independence, so that the help is lasting.
And they are doing a heck of a great job at it.
So please - even if you have a spare £2, please please please help me to support this wonderful cause.
Thank you.
(And here is the JustGiving spiel:)
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
