Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have taken up the challenge of running the 2010 London Marathon in April to raise money for Bridges Community Centre. I have been running since 2002 and I am very excited by the opportunity to enter the London Marathon, as it is  something I have always wanted to do.     This will be my first full marathon although I have already ran in two half marathons.    I have been hard at work training for it, running 3 or 4 times a week for an hour at a time with longer runs during the weekends through the woods around my Catbrook home.     However, the recent spate of bad weather has interrupted my schedule although I hope to be  able to catch up once the snow has thawed.  I would also like to thank my 2 running buddies Sarah And Jenny for keeping me going week in and week out.

I have  chosen to run for Bridges because of my increasing involvement with the Centre.   I have attended many groups at the Centre, including line dancing, salsa and yoga, and enjoy the regular social events, such as quizzes.    I have also been involved in a professional way with Bridges in my role as a freelance computer programmer and web site designer.    I am a great admirer of the organisation as I feel that it provides an essential focus for so many activities that happen in and around Monmouth.

So please dig deep and donate now.
