The English Half Marathon 2009 · 4 October 2009 ·

Education is one of the key areas where your support can make a real difference. You can help the Foundation to provide practical help for young people. It has proved over the past 8 years that determination and belief can make a big difference, working with vulnerable people and helping them to improve their lives and look toward to a better future.

Story

Woohoo.......I did it!!! I managed to complete the half marathon in a respectable 2 hours 18 minutes to my amazement. It was pretty tough going with a lot of never ending hills. At 11 miles I was ready to give up, but I thought about all your support and it kept me going and I even managed a little finish line sprint.  After the jubilation of finishing i think i'll be hanging up my running shoes for the meantime. Thanks again for all your support!!!

Hi there Folks, thanks for taking the time to stop by !

On 4th October 2009, I will be running the New Balance English Half Marathon in Warrington to raise money for the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace, who I work for. The Foundation was set up in memory of the two boys killed in the IRA bomb in Warrington in 1993.  We work with young people and adults and our aim is to help inspire people to lead more peaceful lives through our educational programmes.  We work specifically with those who are affected by conflict and terrorism, or are at risk of getting into conflict situations in their own lives.  We provide learning and supportive programmes to help people make choices about their lives, and do something positive to make a difference.

So please dig deep and give me your support and make all this pain worthwhile!!
