Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In March this year I had two big operations on my leg, lets just say it's not my first time! I'm missing my leg below the knee and have grown up going in and out of hospital my whole childhood. The surgery in March was the first one I'd had since I'd moved to England (i grew up in America) and it took place in the JR childrens hospital. I spent 2 weeks in there, but there was some children there that were there for a lot longer. It was obviously a horrible time but it was made a lot better by the amazing children's hospital.
That is thanks to Rosie's Rainbow Fund, which funded improving the hospital as their daughter Rosie died in the JR children's hospital and her last wishes were to make the hospital a better place for children staying there. It was thanks to them that my stay there wasn't as bad as it could have been, and i would love to be able to give something back.
I'm also a swimmer, swimming at a National level and having recovered from my surgery I'm now back to training. Therefore, on the 13th of February at Temple Cowley Pool me and my squad will be swimming the distance of the channel to raise money for Rosie's Rainbow Fund.
