On 3rd July, Unilever employees will embark on a Marathon walk from Greenwich boat club to Richmond Rugby club in memory of our dear colleague Renee Metroka.

I am doing this walk to remember Renee, for her sense of fun and her infectious positivity, and in the hope that the research can help fight ocular cancer.

Renee was an inspiration for so many across Unilever, with her never give up attitude and positive outlook on life. She originally battled with rare ocular cancer in 2014 which unfortunately spread to her liver and she sadly lost her fight through complications in January 2018.

We are raising funds for a charity close to Renee’s heart (LOORG) helping to fund much needed research into Ocular cancer and how to treat it. Rare cancers like these are often overlooked when trying to raise funds.

Liverpool Ocular Oncology Research Group (LOORG) is part of the University of Liverpool. Your donation is truly appreciated and will enable them to carry on with  valuable research work.
