Saving Lives Through Your Support. Each life-saving mission costs £3,500 and on average, we are called to at least five emergencies everyday. It is only thanks to the generosity of the communities that we serve that we are able keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.

Story

I am raising money for the air ambulance as a 'Thank You' after they came to our aid after my wife had a horse riding accident. I always said that I do something to help in return, and now is the time!

On 30th August I will ride the length of the South Downs Way from the Winchester to Eastbourne, and then turn around and ride straight back. That is a total of 200 miles off road, and over 25,000ft of climbing in (hopefully) around 18 hours.

I will ride unsupported, and so will carry all my food with me and top up my bottles from taps along the route, and have to fix any mechanical problems myself.

I will leave Winchester at 3am on Friday 30th August and, so long as I don't get lost and my legs don't fall apart, hope to arrive back at King Alfred's statue around 9pm.

Thank you very much for your donation!
