Story
As some of you may already know, we are climbing Kilimanjaro at the end of October in order to raise money for World Child Cancer. A little sooner then some may have expected, but why wait?
I think we all have been affected by cancer of some description either in our families or in people we know. The charity we have chosen concentrates on children in the 3rd world who suffer from this disease. Many of whom have no or little access to the drugs we take for granted in the western world.
We would really appreciate even the smallest donation to help towards our goal of 3,000GBP and we hope to blow this amount out of the water.
We have both been training extremely hard and we write this having a glass of wine at lunch time!! We are both water lovers and to take on the challenge of climbing the highest free standing mountain in the world is about as far from our comfort zones as we can get.
We have been very lucky to have been supported by Chole at Gulf Finance, Dave at Peters & May and Eman at Orlando Sports who have made this trip a reality. Now it is down to us to climb and raise as much as possible for World Child Cancer!
