Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I turned 40 this year and set myself three challenges: to run my first Virgin London Marathon, complete a triathlon and cycle from John O' Groats to Land's End.

I've decided to use the marathon to try to raise some money for a terrific charity, the Mark Evison Foundation.

It was set up in memory of a Welsh Guards officer from Dulwich who died aged 26 after being shot in Afghanistan in 2009. I never met Mark but interviewed his mum, Margaret, for a story in the Evening Standard (http://tinyurl.com/3yp7sh9).

By all accounts Mark was an inspirational figure, and his charity aims to keep his spirit of adventure alive. See here for one example of how it's encouraging others to be all they can be: http://tinyurl.com/28jts9v

I'd be extremely grateful if you could make a donation to Mark's charity - it's sure to spur me on as I aim to complete the marathon in under four hours (Mark managed 3 hours 14 mins). Thanks
