Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 4th June I will begin paddling in a bath from Liverpool to London via the Grand Union Canal and network- 297 miles in total. I am hoping to finish on 12th June in London.
I am raising funds and awareness for Epilepsy Bereaved www.sudep.org
My daughter Karen Louise died from epilepsy on the 7th September 2008.
There are 3 seizure-related deaths a day in the UK and most of these are sudden and unexpected (SUDEP).
Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) is uncommon but is a recognised syndrome where a person with epilepsy dies suddenly and no other cause of death is revealed. Around half of epilepsy deaths are attributed to SUDEP.
Epilepsy Bereaved (EB) is committed to preventing Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) and other epilepsy deaths through research, awareness and influencing change.
The charity is dedicated to supporting families affected by SUDEP and other epilepsy deaths.
EB carries out and supports research into the causes of SUDEP and other epilepsy deaths. The charity is working in partnership with Kings College Hospital London with the aim of finding ways to prevent SUDEP and other epilepsy deaths.
For more information, please contact EB on 01235 772 850 or visit their website- www.sudep.org
