BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

Heartbeat is a charity dedicated to supporting people affected by cardiovascular and pulmonary disease. We provide prevention and rehabilitation services, including supervised exercise programmes, nutritional guidance and ongoing support.

Story

Hi,

It's been an ambition of Mum's to do the great north run for a few years now and she's always said she wants to do it before she's 50. Not to give away her age but she's got to do it before May next year to achieve that. So we're doing it this September (20th). Mum has also always said if she did ever run it, she'd run it memory of her Father, Denis, who died 23 years ago. So in support of that, Mum, my stepdad Tony and I will be running for Heartbeat.

Heartbeat helps local people recover and rebuild their lives after suffering heart illness, heart attack, cardiac surgery, angina and some types of stroke. The resources and funds raised by the charity are used primarily for long term cardiac rehabilitation.

The run is 13.1 miles accross Newcastle and South Shields.

Anything you can give will be much appreciated, however we have set a high target as we know you're all such genourous people..

Happy donating!!

Ross
