However in spite of my extreme intrepidation the cause far outways any personal pain.</p> <p>I am running the 2012 London marathon for Deafness Reach UK.</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">I have a close personal interest in supporting this charity as my 7 year old Daughter has been profoundly deaf since birth. From diagnosis we as a family have progressed, at times, on a very painful voyage of discovery, with despair and hope in equal measure. In spite of these challenges Caitlin had developed into a beautiful social little girl, who has benefited immeasurably from hearing aids (analogue and digital) and bilateral implants. The work that Deafness Research UK supports is hugely important in changing and improving the lives of people and families, such as ours, enabling further technological development to fundamentally help future generations in living with this disability.</span>&nbsp;</p> <p>So if you can ..
