In just a few weeks time, I'll be off to France to take part in an 80km off-road race in the Pyrenees. With 5000m of ascent thrown in, this is going to be a very tough time.

I've been training all year long, which is why you might not have seen a lot of me. I'm going to be putting myself through a wee bit of pain so I figured that a charity might as well get something from it.

Children First are the charity of choice for the Hi-Ex comic convention in Inverness and every year I've been up there we've managed to raise a good haul for them.

You've only got a few weeks before I run, so don't think about it too much, just get your credit card out and chuck in a tenner.
