Our vision is of a world in which people with deafblindness are equal and active members of society. In partnership with our local delivery partners, we help some of the most disadvantaged and marginalised people to Live, Learn and Thrive

Story

Hi, I am leading my second trek for Sense International, this year taking over 20 people through northern Romamia to see the famous painted monasteries.

Sense International works exclusively to meet the needs of people who are both deaf and blind in , Latin America, East Africa and . Deafblind people in developing countries are among the most isolated of all disabled people in the world.  Sense International exists to enable them to exercise their right to be full and active members of society.  For instance:-

£25 can teach East African parents to communicate with their deafblind children
£50 can teach living skills to deafblind young adults in rural communities in  India
£100 can provide vocational training for deafblind young adults in Latin America

£1000 can pay for specialist training for teachers of deafblind children in Romania

So please Think BIG, Dig Deep, and help me to help deafblind people.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Sense International will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
