Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Today is the 25th May...two weeks til our launch off a high building. We have been completely bowled over by the support...only 5 days since setting up this page, we have exceeded our modest target so now we are upping our game and trying for 4 figures so keep those fingers busy and sponsor my knocking knees and rapidly rising heart-rate!!!!

We plan to abseil down the Lees Cliff Hall in Folkestone on the 9th of June to raise money for the Vicar of Tenterden's Trust which Roy set up in 2003, the trustees being the Vicar of Tenterden, the head of the junior/infant school, the senior practioner at the doctor's surgery and  the manager of the Day Centre. These were chosen as the people most likely to identify individuals  or families in the Parish who would benefit from a small cash award to help in a time of particular need.

A recent example of an award was to a family who wanted to send their children on an educational school trip but could only afford to send one child. The Trust was able to support sending the siblings.

This is a great way of supporting a local charity which is able to make an immediate difference. We are desperate...desperate enough to launch off a high building!!!...to top up the coffer so please help.
