On Friday 9 October 2009, the Royal London Legal Team (and Chloe!) will be competing in an Apprentice style Charity Shop Challenge!
The Challenge
To spend a day working in the Spitalfields Cript Trust (www.sct.org.uk) Watney Market charity shop in London's East End with the aim of increasing the shop's average daily takings by as much as possible! We will be competing against some of our panel firms, Wragge’s, Norton Rose and Eversheds - whichever team has the greatest percentage increase wins! Our target of £648 represents the shops average daily takings - if we can raise this prior to the day, anything we can make on the day will be profit!!
The team will spend the day in shop dressed as various types of animal. This theme will be carried through the day in terms of decorating the shop etc. We will also be holding various in-shop events and promotions throughout the day to help increase our takings. If you are free at any time on Friday 9 October, we would love you to come along to support.. and maybe add even more to our takings for the day!
In order to raise as much money as we possibly can for SCT, we are looking to raise funds through other means prior to challenge day and as an added incentive, if we manage to raise £250 through this site by 5pm on Monday 5 October, the team will dress in their Animal outfits in the office for the whole of Tuesday 6 October, so please dig deep and donate now!!!
The Charity
We will be working to help the Spitalfields Charity Trust (www.sct.org.uk) which aims to offer a range of high-quality support, rehabilitation and training services to people facing problems of homelessness, alcohol, drugs, poverty or social isolation. The charity is solely funded by donations and does not receive any type of grant or government assistance. In order to operate for one year, the charity must raise between £200,000 and £300,000.
